The June Edition | 04

The June Edition | 04

June was nearly fifty shades of nail varnish.

After May's coral edition (Ember Wild), I had a proper wobble. I'd noticed that every time I have ever sat a nail salon, I reach for the same familiar colours. Coral, Big Apple Red or Burgandy.

For a moment, I wondered if The Anti Diary should do the same. Despite having decided the palette at the start of the collection in March.

Then I remembered why I'd started this in the first place.

I didn't want to create a planner that quietly blended into the post. I wanted something that landed on your doormat and made you feel something. Something bold. Something you'd either adore or politely question for five minutes before inevitably falling in love with it.

So I ignored the sensible voice.

Oxide arrived in unapologetic blue. Umber followed in warm, earthy brown.

I even filmed a reel admitting I'd nearly changed my mind. See above.

I'm so glad I didn't.

Because that month taught me something I'll probably have to keep relearning as this business grows: people don't remember safe. They remember conviction.
